Garden Variety

by Laurren
Floral prints have been going strong since popping up on the runways in Spring 2009, but with the crisp fall weather now in full effect, you may be tempted to put away your bright prints in exchange for solids and neutrals.  Despite what your mother may have told you, floral prints can easily transition to fall, adding a little whimsy and excitement to what can easily become a very basic fall/winter wardrobe.

Remember:
• Tone down a bright print with a chunky sweater  in a neutral color.
• Hats, scarves, and gloves can "winterize" any outfit.
 • Skip dainty footwear and opt for this season's rugged lace-up or over-the-knee riding boot.
 • Keep warm with leggings or thigh-high socks.

Our Take:

Corey Lynn Calter dress, Mac & Jac leggings, Matisse boots.
